• Day 1 Lima
  • Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
  • Overnight at selected hotel at Lima.
• Day 2 Lima
  • CULINARY CLASSIC TOUR
  • Today you will be transfer to a local colorful market where a chef will give you a presentation of our local products. After that you will go to Urban Kitchen, a space where people come to learn how to cook in a friendly environment, dishes of Peruvian and international cuisines.
  • You will start cooking under the expert guidance of the chef, while learning about history of the Peruvian cuisine, the influence others have on it, and how we got to be one of the most important in the world.
  • When you finish cooking your dish, you will sit and taste what you have cooked. At this point, this experience has become a cooking class mixed with a fine restaurant experience.

• Day 3 Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley
  • Transfer to the airport.
  • Flight to Cusco.
  • Transfer from the airport to the hotel Sacred Valley.
  • Lunch at Wayra Restaurant while you enjoy the paso horse exhibition.

• Day 4 Sacred Valley
  • TREASURES OF THE SACRED VALLEY TOUR
  • Get to know the Sacred Valley. Stop at Racchi vantage point to admire the beautiful natural scenery. You will also go to Moray to see the enormous circular terraces that were used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory. This is followed by the Maras salt pans, which produce the finest salt in the world, used by great international chefs. A delicious lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch you will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most imposing building complexes of the Inca Empire and the site of one of the Spanish Conquistadors' rare strategic defeats. Famous for its terraced fields (cut into the hillsides), Ollantaytambo was an effective fortress as well as a religious centre. Finally, a visit to the village of Ollantaytambo, the only “living Inca town” and the best remaining example of Inca urban planning, with stone-paved streets that have been continuously inhabited since the 13th Century.

• Day 5 Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
  • VISIT MISMINAY COMMUNITY
  • Visit the Andean community of Misminay, in the outskirts of Cusco, where you will be able to live ancient traditions preserving locals.
  • Through a narrow and winding path to the village, located at 3,700 meters over sea level you will visit families that live along in small single or double room houses, made out of adobe. They raise guinea pigs, cattle and sheep.
  • You will be able to plow or harvest the soil, depending on the time of the year, appreciate a ceremony in honor of Mother Earth— and enjoy a traditional lunch cooked by the ladies of Misminay, with naturally cultivated ingredients from their camps and enjoy a traditional lunch cooked by the ladies of Misminay, with naturally cultivated ingredients from their camps.
  • Additionally, you will observe women spinning, wool dyeing with natural ingredients, and lastly tapestry knitting, according to the ancient their techniques.
  • Transfer to the station to take the train to Machu Picchu.

• Day 6 Machu Picchu – Cusco
  • VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU
  • You will be transported by bus to Machu Picchu citadel, one of the most renowned examples of the Inca’s architecture, surrounded by an amazing landscape of lush forest. Lost in history, Machu Picchu was not discovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham, but was built in the middle of XV century. The name of the citadel comes from the Quechua language that means “Old Mountain” and apparently was the principal Inca’s Sanctuary. Then, you will enjoy a self-service lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge.
  • At the appointed time, train back to Cusco.

• Day 7 Cusco – City Tour
  • Get to know the city of Cusco, an UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and possessor of a style on its own. The tour begins at the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over top this temple’s foundations: the church of Santo Domingo that is still there today. Your next destination is the Main Square, and then the adventure continues at the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking Cusco. What a view of the city! The tour continues with visits to three archeological sites: “Qenko, Puca-Pucara, and Tambomachay”, important religious and administrative centers for the Incas. Finally you will visit an art workshop named “Inkas Expression” that presents artists working on silver pieces and painting in wood. This is an ideal place for the ones who like andean art.
  • COOKING DEMONSTRATION AND DINNER OR LUNCH IN MAP CAFE
  • The restaurant at the Museum of Pre-Hispanic Art (MAP), in the beautiful courtyard of a colonial mansion, for a lesson of the best examples of Andean cuisine. Afterwards, a delicious lunch or dinner in a sophisticated and agreeable atmosphere.

  • Day at leisure to enjoy the wonders of Cusco city.
