Successful Tourism Show in Germany
A replica of the Lord of Sipan was exhibited at ITB in Germany , attracting more than 50,000 visitors to the Peruvian stand. ITB closed its doors with more than 141,000 visitors, 75,000 from the tourism area and 66,000 of the general public. Peru was the host this year, becoming the center of attraction. 10,023 exhibitors from 178 countries participated in ITB 2004


Cajamarca: Inca's Baths, A New Tourist Attraction
The famous Inca Baths hot springs in Cajamarca will be developed as a new tourist attraction. The new project, "Villa Termal de los Incas", is trying to develop Cajamarca as an alternative tourist attraction to Norther Peru, taking advantage of its colonial architecture, archaeological sites and natural attractions.


Inca Trail will be improved
The 8,500 Km long path, built 500 years ago by the Incas, crossing Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia and Argentina will be improved in each country to promote tourism. This Inca road crosses valleys, mountains and plateaus through the Andean countries.


Kuelap will be restored
The restoration of Kuelap will start in April of this year announced the National Institute of Culture in Amazonas, trying to obtain the status of Cultural Patrimony of Humanity for this important archaeological site in Northern Peru. Tourists will be able to visit the fortress while it is being restored.
