Like Indiana Jones, Julio C. Tello was the prototype of the archaeologist during the early 20th Century. With a gun on his belt, he usually fought against the construction companies in order to preserve a ruin.
Julio C. Tello discovered the Paracas culture, and because of him we could now know about their culture, tradition, myths, fears and advances.
There were good and bad archaeologists, maybe no one like Julio C. Tello, an example for many others like Gustavo Rondon, a man in search only of the truth.
