Great trip
Hi Marirose,
I finally feel much better now. Thank you for asking.
Robin and I had a great trip. We enjoyed seeing the historical Inca sites and learning about the culture and history. We particularly appreciated the tour guides and their knowledge, as well as them guiding us every step of the way. For instance, it was fantastic having the private guide for Machu Picchu as well as for the next day hiking up Huayana Picchu. A guide met us when we got off the train in Agua Calientes and walked us to our hotel and then showed us where we were to have lunch. And later, the guide took us from the hotel to the bus. This was very helpful since we were unfamiliar with the town. We received great recommendations for dinner in the different places that we stayed. The Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel was fantastic and we appreciated the upgrade to this hotel. All of the hotel choices were good, especially the hotels in Lima and Cusco.
The bus trip from Cusco to Puno was long and the least enjoyable for us. In hindsite, we probably could have skipped Lake Titicaca due to how long it took to get there. And the floating islands were more commercialized that we expected. We found that Taquile Island was very interesting, especially learning about the people and culture. The lunch that was served was delicious.
Here are a few photos from our trip. You have our permission to share them on social media channels.
Thank you, Pam
